Our beams are constructed from MDF with crown moulding that fits the chosen beam size. MDF gives us clean, consistent lines and a smooth surface that takes paint beautifully. The crown moulding along the edges adds a finished, detailed look that elevates the beams from simple boxes to refined architectural elements.

Every project is unique — pricing depends on the room size, ceiling height, beam dimensions, and the complexity of the grid layout. Larger rooms with more intersections take more time and material. We provide a free in-home estimate where we discuss your design options, take measurements, and give you a clear price before any work begins.

Timeline varies based on room size and the complexity of the grid pattern. A standard living room or dining room typically takes 2 to 3 days. During your estimate we’ll give you a clear schedule so you can plan around the installation.

We come to your home, look at the ceiling, and discuss design options — beam width, spacing, crown moulding profiles, and overall layout. We take measurements and walk you through how different configurations will look in your specific room. The estimate is always free with no obligation.

All cutting is done outside your home. The room needs to be empty for us to work — we move furniture to another room before we begin. Floors and surfaces are fully covered with drop cloths. We keep the workspace clean throughout the job and do a full cleanup when we’re done.

The beams come in a brown MDF colour and need to be primed before painting. After installation, we sand, fill all nail holes, and caulk every seam so the surface is smooth and ready for primer. Once primed and painted, the beams look like solid built-in woodwork.

Waffle ceilings work best in rooms with standard 8-foot ceilings or higher. Living rooms, dining rooms, and home offices are the most popular choices among homeowners across Toronto, Vaughan, and Markham.
