Frequently Asked Questions About Baseboards, Casings & Interior Doors

We install baseboards in a wide range of profiles and heights — from clean, modern flat-stock designs to more detailed traditional profiles with curves and bevels. Material options include MDF for painted finishes and solid wood for stained or natural looks. Whatever style suits your home, we’ll help you choose the right profile and height to complement your space.

Baseboard projects are priced per linear foot, with the final cost depending on the profile size, material, and the complexity of your layout — things like the number of corners, doorways, and transitions all factor in. We provide a detailed written estimate before any work begins so you know exactly what to expect.

Timeline depends on the volume of work. A single room with straightforward walls goes quickly, while a full home with multiple levels, hallways, and closets takes longer. We’ll give you a clear timeframe during your estimate so you can plan accordingly.

Yes — casings are one of our core services. We install both door casings and window casings in styles that match or complement your baseboards. Getting the proportions right between your baseboard and casing profiles is what gives a room that finished, intentional look. It’s something homeowners across Toronto, Vaughan, and Markham consistently tell us makes the biggest difference.

We take cleanliness seriously. All cutting is done outside your home to keep sawdust out of your living space. We cover your floors with drop cloths throughout the entire job and clean up thoroughly when we’re done. You won’t have to worry about dust on your furniture or debris on your floors.

Every project leaves our hands paint-ready. We fill all nail holes, address seams, and caulk where the baseboard meets the wall for a tight, seamless look. Your painter can go straight to the final coat with no additional prep — that’s the standard we deliver on every job across the GTA.

In most cases, yes. If the exact profile has been discontinued, we’ll find one with a similar look so the new work blends naturally with what’s already in your home.

We cover Toronto and 14 GTA cities: Aurora, Brampton, Burlington, Bradford, Halton Hills, Hamilton, King City, Markham, Milton, Mississauga, Newmarket, Oakville, Richmond Hill, and Vaughan. Pricing and service quality stay the same no matter where you’re located.

Always free, no exceptions. We visit your home, assess the scope of work, discuss your preferred profiles and materials, and provide a detailed estimate — all at no cost and no obligation. Homeowners anywhere in Toronto or the GTA can request a visit and we’ll be there within 48 business hours.

Yes. We install both pre-hung and slab doors across Toronto and the GTA. For slab doors, we handle the full scope — routering for hinges and lock hardware, installing new jambs, and fitting the lock and handles. Every door is set plumb, level, and operating smoothly before we move on.

Absolutely. Door casing is always part of our interior door installation. We match the casing style to your existing trim or to the new baseboards we’re installing, so everything in the room looks like it belongs together. The casing is filled, caulked, and left primed white — ready for your painter.

We can, but it’s worth knowing the limitations. If the existing jambs were installed poorly by a previous carpenter, there’s only so much we can adjust — and the final result won’t be as clean as a full replacement. When the jambs and casing are in good shape, a door-only swap works well. When they’re not, replacing everything gives you the best outcome.

Just clear furniture and small items away from the walls, take down any nearby artwork, and make sure we have access and parking — particularly important if you’re in a condo. We cover floors with drop cloths, keep the workspace tidy throughout the day, and clean up when we’re done. Most homes across the GTA are completed within the same visit.

Every project comes with our full 10-year warranty covering both materials and workmanship. If anything we installed ever needs attention, we come back and take care of it. Our reputation across Brampton, Milton, Halton Hills, and the entire GTA is built on doing the work right and standing behind every inch of it.
